Previous Encounters

It will not be the first time the Ferrari cross the Andes, last year, there was already a caravan that revolutionized the province of Mendoza in Argentina.

Fifteen exclusive Ferrari from different eras were in Mendoza on an unprecedented journey across the Andes. In total, the Italian sports brand traveled a distance of 3,000 kilometers marked by mountain roads and scenic landscapes. The caravan moved through the towns of Penitents, Uspallata, Potrerillos, Tunuyan and Valledeuco to reach the city of Mendoza Argentina. The three-day itinerary included visits to historical sites, cultural centers, vineyards and typical gastronomic spaces.

It was after this first rally outside Chile during 2015 that this idea was born motivated by the passion to promote the largest continental car brand and to establish connections in the region.

Their success in that first rally was what motivated them to plan the biggest brand continental meeting in Punta Del Este.

Robert Brusel – President of the Ferrari Club in Chile said; “Ferrari is a brand with an unmistakable story. With this activity we seek to show the automotive heritage that Ferrari  has given us Ferrari and it has certainly outlined the development of the industry worldwide,”

These events bring together Ferrari car owners usually held in different parts of the world. The Guinness record in took place in North Europe, when  in 2012  Ferrari brought together 964 vehicles of the Italian brand in the British circuit of Silverstone. The previous record achieved in 2008 in Japan, where they managed to gather 490 Ferrari in the famous Fuji Speedway. A year earlier, also at Silverstone, they gathered 385 Ferrari.

There is an excellent great expectation, as they have shown interest in participating in the event clubs of various South American countries. Vehicles from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Paraguay and Chile will be present.
